Home-made Maple Syrup

1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring or extract

Place a saucepan onto the stove and turn the heat on to low until water is added.
Pour the two sugars, brown and granulated, into the pan and mix together, make sure it doesn’t burn.
Pour the water, carefully, into the pan and add the salt.
Mix the mixture and achieve a boil.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and finally add the maple extract.
Let the maple syrup cool and store in an airtight container.
